Jin Shin Jyutsu
Physiophilosophy is an ancient art of harmonizing the life energy in the body. Born of innate wisdom and passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth, the Art had fallen into relative obscurity when it was dramatically revived in the early 1900’s by Master Jiro Murai in Japan.
After clearing himself of life-threatening illness, Master Murai devoted the rest of his life to the research and development of Jin Shin Jyutsu, gathering insight from a range of experiences and resources, including the Kojiki (Record of Ancient Things). The resulting knowledge of Jin Shin Jyutsu was then given to Mary Burmeister, who brought it to the United States in the 1950’s.
Mary Burmeister began teaching the Art to others in the early 1960’s, and today there are thousands of students throughout the United States and around the world.
Jin Shin Jyutsu brings balance to the body’s energies, which promotes optimal health and well-being, and facilitates our own profound healing capacity. It is a valuable component to conventional healing methods, inducing relaxation and reducing the effects of stress.
Jin Shin Jyutsu employs twenty-six “safety energy locks” along energy pathways that feed life into our bodies. When one or more of the paths become blocked, the resulting stagnation can disrupt the local area and eventually disharmonize the complete path of energy flow. Holding these energy locks in combination can bring balance to mind, body and spirit.
Jin Shin Jyutsu can be applied by self-help and also by a trained practitioner. A Jin Shin Jyutsu session generally lasts about an hour. It does not involve massage, manipulation of muscles, or use of drugs or substances. It is a gentle art, practiced by placing the fingertips (over clothing) on designated safety energy locks, to harmonize and restore the energy flow. This facilitates the reduction of tension and stress which accumulate through normal daily living.
Already a multitude of valleyites have experienced the incredible benefits of Jin Shin Jyutsu. Among the many happy Jin Shin Jyutsu recipients are the following:
E.C. had suffered for years with depression, neck pain, lower back ache and general malaise. After several treatments, she states “I haven’t felt this well in years. My aches and pains are gone, I’m happy again, travelling and enjoying life – all thanks to Jin Shin Jyutsu!”
R.C extolls, “I had nearly lost the use of my arm due to lifting the wrong weight, had pain for a year that nothing would help, and experienced anxiety due to stress at work. One treatment fixed my arm and I’ve been feeling much more relaxed!”
J.C. affirms, “Jin Shin Jyutsu has helped my back, sinuses, bloating, ankle swelling, and anxiety in general more than any other method I’ve tried. When I start getting stressed out, Jin Shin is the one treatment that will balance my system.”
N.R. claims, “I used to be nervous all the time, didn’t sleep well, and had a hard time focusing. Jin Shin has helped me tremendously.”
P.C. says, ”After losing the sight in one eye due to laser surgery for glaucoma I could hardly believe that several treatments of Jin Shin enabled me to at first see only light, then shapes with that eye. My energy is much better and I feel better than I’ve felt in years.”
A.P. alleges, ”I had serious digestive problems, sciatic pain, consistent low energy levels, parasites, and depression. Jin Shin has restored my functioning to a normal level and I’m feeling better than ever!”
